Alexandra Gill

Alexandra Gill is one of Canada’s most connected and respected culinary experts. She was The Globe and Mail’s acclaimed Vancouver restaurant critic from 2005 to 2022.

She is now the editor of Canada’s 50 Best Bars, a freelance writer and a judge for many major competitions, including Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, Air Canada enRoute’s Best New Restaurants, The Chinese Restaurant Awards and Food Network Canada’s Iron Chef Canada.

As the creative director of Dine Like A Critic, Alexandra designs custom experiences for corporate groups, event planners, charities and personal clients. Whether she is planning a bucket-list holiday, leading a multi-day tour, organizing a cooking competition or hiring a star chef for a formal gala, Alexandra is the trusted, go-to foodie fixer in Western Canada. 

Although considered by many to be one of the toughest critics in the country, her bubbly personality and passion for Vancouver’s exciting food scene offer traveling gourmands one-of-a-kind dining experiences, illuminating stories, all the insider gossip and a whole lot of fun.
